Trying to start a conversation with someone you are interested in could be the hardest thing to do. You can think it through clearly in your head, but when finally approaching the individual, everything you rehearsed seems non-relevant.
Showing interest in getting to know the person you are attracted to helps always with communication, which can lead to a friendship that you both could enjoy and share.

They’re buying dog food - what breed do they have? How many? In other words, take an interest in people. The more you practice showing interest in just everyday ordinary people, the easier it is to show interest in people you’re attracted to. You’ll already be in the habit of noticing things you can comment on.

A simple conversation can lead to exchanging contact information with an individual, which can lead to future communication and a beneficial friendship.
